Terms and Conditions

Payments Policy

We require full payment to be made at the time of booking to secure your place. 

Payment can be made conveniently online via the website.

We cannot hold or pencil-in bookings.

Privacy Policy

We endeavour to only collect the information we require to operate workshops or to produce our own email mailing list.

The main way we collect personal information about you is when you give it to us by signing up to a mailing list, or enrol in a workshop.

The personal information we hold about you includes your name, contact details, classes you have attended and classes that you may be interested in.

Refund Policy

  • All refunds are subject to a $25 administration fee and are available until 1 day (24hours) prior to the commencement of your first workshop.
  • With less than 24 hours’ notice, students cancelling will receive no refund.
  • Refunds will only be processed back to the original method of payment and are processed as soon as practicable.

Transferring Your Booking

  • If you wish to transfer your booking to another workshop we require at least four (4) days notice prior to the start date of your original workshop/course booking.
  • Bookings without date changes can be transferred to another person without incurring any penalties.

Course Cancellations 

  • Classes are subject to sufficient enrolment numbers (usually this is 3 participants).
  • We reserve the right to cancel any scheduled course. In the event of a cancellation, students will be offered a full refund, credit or transfer.

Medical Events

  • If you feel unwell, do not attend your workshop. You will be able to transfer your booking without incurring any penalties. No refunds will be provided in case of sickness.
  • Your safety is our priority, we reserve the right to make decisions if necessary to preserve the safety of all. 
  • In the event of a medical emergency, we may have to seek ambulance services on your behalf and at your expense.

Safety and Conduct

  • The Godmother’s Needle will take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of all participants to classes. 
  • Participants acknowledge and accept all risks of this activity and agree to follow all safety and sewing instructions provided by the facilitators. Payment and/or attendance of a class demonstrates participant and carer acknowledgement and waiver from any injury liability for personal injuries by The Godmother’s Needle. All attendees will take full responsibility for potential harm in exchange for participation in a class.
  • Wearing enclosed shoes and long hair tied back is recommended for your safety.
  • The minimum age of participants is 12 years for sewing machine use due to safety requirements.  Children under 16 years will require a parent or carer to be present.
  • The Godmothers Needle will not be responsible for any damage/loss to personal items.
  • Child Supervision - For safety purposes, participants cannot bring along children under the age of 12 that require supervision.
